Refunds
Refund & Cancellation Policy
Effective 2026-06-16
This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains when and how you can get a refund for a paid Kismet subscription, how recurring billing and cancellation work, and how to reach us. It forms part of our Terms of Service and uses the same defined terms.
Kismet is operated by Individual Entrepreneur Artem Tarasov, registration № 72930421, registered office at Davtashen 2-lane, 20/1-2, apt. 20/1-2, Yerevan 0059, Republic of Armenia (“Kismet,” “we,” “us”). Contact: legal@kismetai.io.
Payments for any paid plan are processed by our Merchant of Record, Paddle.com Market Ltd(“Paddle”). Paddle is the authorized reseller of Kismet and handles billing, tax, and refund processing on our behalf. When you buy a subscription, your order is also subject to Paddle’s buyer terms, which you can review at paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms.
1.Free during beta
Kismet is currently in beta and free of charge. You bring your own AI-provider API key and pay your model provider directly for usage; Kismet charges you nothing. Because no payment is taken by us during the free beta, there is nothing to refund for beta use of the Plugin itself.
The rest of this policy governs any paid subscription we offer now or in the future (for example, individual Pro plans or studio/team plans) once such a plan becomes available for purchase.
2.14-day money-back guarantee
We want you to be satisfied with Kismet. If you purchase a paid subscription and you are not happy with it, you may request a full refund within 14 days of the initial purchase date, for any reason. We will refund the amount you paid for that billing period to your original payment method.
This 14-day guarantee applies to the first purchase of a subscription. It does not apply to subsequent automatic renewals, which are covered by Section 3.
3.Renewals and cancellation
Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annual, as selected at checkout) and renew automatically until you cancel. Paddle sends you a receipt for each charge by email.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time from your account dashboard or from the management link in any Paddle receipt email. Cancellation stops the next renewal; your subscription stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep access until then.
Renewal charges
Renewal payments are generally non-refundable. If a renewal charge was clearly unintended — for example, you cancelled but were still billed, or you were charged after deciding not to continue and had not used the new period — contact us within 14 days of the renewal and we will review the charge in good faith and refund it where appropriate.
4.Your statutory right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the EU, the UK, or another jurisdiction with a statutory cooling-off period, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase of digital services.
Because Kismet is digital content supplied immediately, by completing checkout and starting to use a paid plan you ask us to begin supply at once and acknowledge that you may lose this statutory right of withdrawal once supply has begun. This does not affect — and is more generous than — the voluntary 14-day money-back guarantee in Section 2, and it does not limit any mandatory consumer rights you have under applicable law.
5.How to request a refund
To ask for a refund, contact us with your order details:
- Email legal@kismetai.io from the address on your account, or
- Reply to your Paddle receipt email, or use the management link it contains.
Please include the order or receipt number from Paddle and a short note on the reason. We aim to acknowledge requests within 2 business days. Approved refunds are issued by Paddle to your original payment method; the time it takes to appear on your statement depends on your bank or card issuer, typically 5–10 business days.
6.What is not refundable
Outside the cases above, the following are generally non-refundable:
- Renewal charges after the period has been used (see Section 3).
- Partial or unused time within a billing period you chose to cancel, unless required by law.
- Fees you paid directly to your AI provider(for example, Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google) under your own bring-your-own-key arrangement — those are billed by the provider, not by us, and are subject to that provider’s terms.
- Purchases where there is clear evidence of fraud, abuse of this policy (for example, repeated buy-refund cycles), or a breach of our Terms of Service.
7.Problems and chargebacks
If something isn’t working or you were charged in error, please contact us first at legal@kismetai.io — we can almost always resolve billing issues faster than a bank dispute. Starting a chargeback before contacting us may lead to your account being suspended while the dispute is investigated.
8.Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our paid plans evolve. We will post the revised version here with a new effective date. Changes apply to purchases made after they take effect; the policy in force at the time of your purchase governs that purchase.
